I've had terrible vertigo for 3 weeks

I have been to the hospital twice as I can hardly walk. I'm recovering from fusion back surgery too. I spend most of my day in bed sitting up. I try the epley and it doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions welcome. I'm desperate and depressed.

Jody, it's not a good idea to do the Epley yourself unless you've been properly taught to do it by a doctor or a physiotherapist. It can make things worse.
You say you've been to hospital. Was this to A&E/ER or a referral to a specialist?
If it was the former, you need to see your GP/PCP and get a proper referral to an ENT doctor to start with. Hospital emergency departments sometimes aren't very good at referring patients and just want to get them out of the department asap.
I know from experience just how terrible vertigo can make you feel, but there's no need to get depressed. If you haven't done it already, make an appointment with your doctor.
I hope you'll soon be feeling a bit better.

Thank you so much for the advice. I was in the hospital due to the extreme dizziness and vertigo. I couldn't stand or lay down. They were afraid it was a stroke but those tests were negative. I did have one PT session where she showed me the epley and due to her request of another brain scan I'm having to wait two weeks between visits. I'm doing the right side this week and she said three times a day but I can't do that as it makes me too sick. So I usually do one a day.

Call them and tell them it's making you sick. They will adjust treatment for you. If it's making you sick it's to much. That will make you worse. Been there myself.

I won't have another PT appointment until next Friday. I will call them though. Thank you. 😀

When I had problems I called. She said no sense coming back in. Can't add anything to therapy til I could do what she already had me doing. Waste of money. Plus insurance only pays for 3 visits now. They have to get authorization for more. She had me call them every other day and keep them up to date.

Jody, I'm so sorry for your suffering. My dear the Epley should be done by a doctor or a physiotherapist or by yourself if you properly taught.
it takes time. Be patient, please. You will be fine in a couple of weeks. Stay positive, please.
Warm regards.
