I’ve had the nexoplannon implant for about a month and I’ve had a prolonged period

Like the title says I’ve been having my period for a month now and it looks like old blood, some days it’s practically gone and others it’s heavier. I have called for an appointment with the doctor yet and I’m starting to get annoyed. Is there anything I can do to stop it?

You can ask your doctor for 3 months worth of birth control pills to try and regulate your period. I've heard sometimes it helps. I tried it but it didn't help me. Could be with a shot for you though.
