After total right nephrectomy. I am experiencing profuse sweating, and great loss of energy together with poor appetite. I was warned to expect 2..3 weeks recovery with side effects of bloating and constipation, but the sweating and nausea is an extra. I'm led to believe that the pain killers and the after effects of anaesthetic can produce some of these symptoms. So the question is. Has anyone else gone through this surgery and experienced similar symptoms. Thanks for reading my post

    Hi Reg

Make sure you dont have a fever! I would contact your Doctor and tell them your symptoms and get some advice asap.

Sorry I cant help more than that.

Hope you get sorted soon x

I can only say I had an operation 3 weeks ago, and had a general anesthetic, and I have had bouts of sweating afterwards many times, and I have thought, maybe it's my body processing all the chemicals it got.  Shrug.  It could be as simple as that.  I was worried I was showing signs of fever, and observed myself carefully, but.....no.  I think it's just my system processing all the chemicals and it could be the same with you.

Thank you both Jane and Melody, any encouraging input is welcome. The doc must be concerned because he visits me at lunchtime, maybe some more encouraging news after investigation. Good luck both of you in your continued recovery.
