What was your diagnosis? Depending, it seems pretty normal. Some of us here have had it for years off and on. Some constant. But conditions do improve over time and some people never have it again or it comes less. Just all depends.

Been dealing with it 10 years. This latest round is on week 4 or so. Won't leave me alone. I am 53 . Usually I get vertigo, dizzy for 3 months or so. This time I keep getting spells of vertigo. Like the world spins a extra revolution. Lol. Bout all I can do is sit in a chair and stare at the wall. Tests on Wednesday. Results on the 20 th. See if they show something new. Was told I have benign positional vertigo years ago. But symptoms don't seem to fit no more.

Goodness, that makes my case seem minor in comparison! Hope you get some beneficial information for a future cure. I would be interested in what you find out if you are willing to share.

Sure.no problem. It's tough because vertigo/ dizziness is a symptom. Not a disease. It can be anything from chemical imbalance to blood flow issues. I already had the usual tests. Cat scan , ekg, blood work, etc etc. Multiple times. Seen cardiologists, endocrinologists, 2 ENT's . Hearing specialists, had the VNG test done years ago. Just had it done again. So far I know my left ear is the problem. Mostly. Did a total of 5or6 months of vestibular rehab years ago. Waiting on paperwork to do more. If docs and big drug companies can't make millions off a disease, it gets ignored. Was told by one of my therapists til more ppl have a problem with it, we will continue to suffer. She has the same thing. She was awesome.

Talked to doc briefly on the phone. She didn't read the whole results of MRI but no tumors or anything. Did get into PT early. They had a cancelation. Therapist said she's very very curious to see what VNG shows. Says she thinks I have more than one thing going on.

Update. VNG showed left ear way less response to stimulus. Right ear very sensitive. Slight narrowing of blood vessels. Hearing ok. Told me i need to see a neurologist. Possible menieres

Have you taken your blood pressure during the dizzy spell? This may reveal a marked change from normal. You will need some non dizzy spell reading to compare of course.

That would be tough. My spells kinda freak me out. Cause anxiety. Pressure then goes up. Especially if they happen when I am not at home.

No I have not, will check and see. I have never had any problem with my blood pressure but will see.

I get spells like that too and you are right about having spells happen when not at home. There was a period a few months ago where I didn't want to go out because I was afraid something would happen and when I did go out would be in major anxiety. Fortunately all tests dame gave good just need to I learn  to live with anxiety. Not easy
