Hi everyone,

i just read an article on FB written by a musician called Joe Bonjiorno. He is a Meniere’s sufferer who controls it with pycnogenal which is a natural supplement. It seems to act on blood flow similar to betahistine. Anyone ever heard of this?

    I copied this from WebMd.

You can get it health food stores, Walmart, pharmacies.

Pycnogenol is used for treating circulation problems, allergies, asthma, ringing in the ears, high blood pressure, muscle soreness, pain, osteoarthritis, diabetes, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), a disease of the female reproductive system called endometriosis, menopausal symptoms, painful menstrual periods, erectile dysfunction (ED), and an eye disease called retinopathy

It is also used for preventing disorders of the heart and blood vessels, including stroke, heart disease, and varicose veins. “

It seems to have the capability of doing a lot.  I’m going to have to research it more.

Hi have read up on this and it’s says early research shows taking it over a period of time it can reduce tinnitus and help with hearing loss and balance its surely worth giving a go I’m willing to try anything and it’s a natural substance so that’s a plus point

Thanks for the info. I just read up on this...very promising. It seems safe, with the info available to us now, although there are no long term studies. But...there are no long term studies on a lot of things we try lol

I'm willing to give it a try. My GP won't prescribe betahistine.

Hi Christine. There are MM sufferers that benefit from the John of Ohio supplement regime. You can find it on the web. I haven’t tried supplements yet because the betahistine and diuretic are working plus my diet. Lemon bioflavonoids are also known to help.

      Hi David

Yes I’m on betahistine too but not everyone has access to it but I won’t be trying pycnogenal yet. Never say never though!
