I've lost the urge to urinate!

Hello

I really do not have a clue in what is going on.

For a week now I do not have the urge to urinate but if I sit on the toilet, I am able to!

i went to A&E and they did bloods and a urine sample and everything was ok.

My GP thinks it may be a weird side effect from taking Buspar,which I have now stopped.  He said it may about a month to be normal again.  He said it numbs your brain as well as your nerves.

Can anyone shed some light on my situation?

    Sounds  like this coudl be a  side effect of the medication: i  would listen to my doctor and see how it goes. If after a month or so you still have the problem I would ask for a referral to a urologist.

    How much water do you drink during the day ?  AS for example you are surposed to drink at least 3 litres per 12 hr day  As your body is 90 % fluid and if you don't refuel your self nothing will work

    Cant shed much light on this but just looked uo side affects and it did say

    Central nervous system disturbances

    3%

    Thats a low percentage but rather scary that a medication can numb your brain!eek
