Found this ,, Bladder infections are typically caused by Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria, which are common bacteria in the human gut, according to the Mayo Clinic. Infections of the urethra can be caused by E. coli, or by sexually transmitted infections, such as herpes or chlamydia.

      Hi Lydia.

It sounds like what you had was a nasty urine infection.... There's nothing significant about this E. Coli thing, it is the bacteria that commonly causes urine infection and you had strong antibiotics to fix that up.

The symptoms you are describing now sounds like thrush, that will have happened because you had to have such strong antibiotics.

All you need to do is go to the pharmacy and buy a Canesten pessary and cream.

The best time to insert the pessary inside the vagina is at bed time so it will stay inside and work over night. You put the cream on the outside and it soothes the soreness and itching.

You will feel back to normal after one day.

Quick tip... Wear a panty liner on the day you get up after putting in the pessary as bits of the tablet will come away after it has dissolved, this is normal and nothing to worry about and will only last for that one day.

This WILL NOT affect your fertility. I hope you see this message. No need to stress. You will be just fine honey.
