I want to switch from mirtazapine to another antidepressant that is more affordable

Right now i'm using mirtazapine since the beginning of the year, and because of the still ongoing pandemic and financial problems, i have decided to switch to another med. Did anyone here ever switched from mirtazapine to another one? I'm a little anxious too, and even taking mirtazapine i don't get that much sleepy and calm, so i even take lemon balm tea to help me sleep better.

I also have a bad history with fluoxetine, it made me really bad in the first week (probably serotonin syndrome because the symptoms were very much like) and there's a history in my family about alzheimer disease (my grandpa had) so even tough i did well with citalopram, at the time i decided to switch from it to mirtazapine (in 2019) some researches showed that it could increase the risk

Anyone had a similar case to mine and find a better medication? thanks for the answers
