Well in fact I've still got it.
I went to the doctors in September 2014, struggling to breathe, a persistent cough which I still have, pains in my chest and was diagnosed with a lung infection. I've never had one before, it scared me to death.
I'm not very mobile, I have balance problems (due to Meniere's disease) and sciatica with lower back pain, so I'm not shaking the infection off.
The doc gave me antibiotics which I've only taken twice before in my life (never needed them) When I'd got to the end of the pills, the infection started to come back.
Back at the docs, she gave me some stronger ones which helped a bit, but this week I feel worse than I did at the beginning of the infection.
I take co-codamol 30/500 when I need to for my sciatica, back pain etc. Up until the end of last year I was taking the maximum dose of 8x 30/500 co-codamol tablets and was addicted to them, I'd been taking them for over 10 years.
I cut down the dose bit by bit and came off them.
I still need to use them but only take the lower 8/500 ones now.them for three days at a time, then leave at least three days not taking any to stop the addiction coming back - it would be so easy! So be careful, don't get addicted.
Anyway, do you get any relief from taking the co-codamol, if not, I think you need to go back to your docs for help.
I can understand your predicament, I'm still waiting for a referral to the hospital to check my legs and back, just in case it isn't sciatica.
I've only had it four years.
