I was diagnosed with achalasia only two months ago.

I am still coming to terms with my condition. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Please google Meet up groups and look for Achalasia and you will find our group.

    we meet every month or so in London..... Whereabouts are you? 

    This group would be invaluable to you, lots of experience and advice.

    It IS manageable.

    If you look up the website of the oesphageal Patients Association and look under the oesophaugs and then Achalsia, you will find some information that may well be of help.

    Hi Shivashiva,

    I tried to email you with the Organizer of our Meet Up group Amanda's email address but they do not allow this.  Perhaps you can find the MeetmUp site and log in and find our group then many people can be of help to you.

    We do have a list of dos and donts for sufferers which is very helpful.  Have you been offered any treatment yet?
