lots of people say eat less and exercise more but if only it was that simple eh?   if you have tried everything else such as slimming organisations/clubs, lighterlife, meal replacement shakes/soups/bars, wgt loss pills, hypnotherapy, acupuncture and not managed to  lose wgt and keep it off then perhaps wgt loss surgery would be the way forward for you - have you considered weight loss surgery by any chance?  if not, do some research online as there are various types - most people have heard of the gastric band but there is RNY, duodenal switch, sleeve to name but a few - none are a magic wand but a tool to aid wgt loss -  you can either self fund or go down the NHS route but best to get some info first and learn what is involved with the various methods available then ask to be referred by your GP.  good luck

Im sure you'll get great advice but a few things to try if you haven't done so. Don't eat processed food. Try to cook food from scratch (not from jars or packets), no fried foods etc. Lots of veg and protein.

Run blood tests to check on thyroid and other vitals. If you have sluggish bowels consider improving your gut bacteria.

Hi, I feel your pain. I was 117kg at the age of 40. I'm now 94kg. I have lost around 24kg since 2014.

There is so much bad advice out there. One suggestion, keep hydrated, without going over board....it is bad to drink too much water too!

My doctor advised me to cut certain things out of my diet, which has worked but what I have come to realise, is mindful eating chew your food well and eat slowly, you will find that you start to enjoy eating. Be wary of these fad diets promising rapid weight loss. The goal is to lose the weight, but keep it off.

I cut out sugar, soda drinks, bread pasta that helped.

Im not a doctor. I wouldn't want to advise you of anything because I do not wish you any harm.

I started by taking soda out then when I had that down pat I started to take out sugar etc.

I truly haven't found my answer yet, but I hope this helps in some way. I get down about it too
