IBD Rash?

Has anyone suffered from a rash associated with IBD? If so, could u please describe it? I started with a small red bump on the side of my calf about 8wks ago. It spread to more red bumps and is now about 6cm wide. It's a bit itchy but the red bumps die down and it begins to fade only for new red bumps to appear around the edges. Looking back? It started when I had really bad achy knees. No idea if that is relevant. I had a GP look and was told it looked like I had bumped it. I don't recall bumping it and it's still throwing up new red bumps and spreading, fading and throwing up new red bumps sad Any ideas? X

I have crohns disease which is currently not under control and I have developed symptoms because of this. I get red blotches on my lower legs along with bruising. Also my ankle joint is swollen. I have been told that these could take some time to resolve but as soon as I find meds that work, this should start. The doctor also said the people can also experience lumps or bobbles on their joints but definate stiffness and aches to joints. This could explain your red bumps and poorly knees. I actually think my symptoms are so I dont get my legs out in summer.

Thanks for the reply. My rash has been there now since February. I've seen 1 GP and asked the consultant about it a couple of weeks ago. She's pretty useless at best anyway, but said it didn't look like the "usual rash but could be".....! My knee pain improved and the rash seemed to fade a lot. Now my joint pain is particularly bad again and the rash is back sad Ive made an appointment with a GP next week (waited 6wks!!!) So will ask about the rash and knee pain. I'm dreading summer, it just looks awful :'(
