    HI FRED FLINTSTONE,

I do it quite often, sometimes I also take co-codamol as well. I have never had any problems, of course it also depends greatly on the amount of tramadol you are prescribed. I am on 400 mg basic up to 600 maximum. I always feel that if you can get the pain somewhat under control you can do more activities and feel better, and sometimes you take less medication. Paracetamol are also very effective as a pain top up, constant pain is very wearing and the stress can lower your immune system which leaves you prone to other problems.  Obviously the right person to ask is your go or specialist.  Good luck to you, take care and be kind to yourself x

I had a heart attack one year ago that may have been caused by too much Ibuprofen. Unlike my only other heart attack in 2003 there was very little pain but I woke up to find myself with no  strength and the inability to get dressed. My wife called for an ambulance. After several tests I was given a stent. What a difference, I felt twenty years younger and started to enjoy a period of good sleeping. That was then but with all the additional medication the cardiologist prescribed I started to feel lousy. I get cramps below the knees during sleep that awakens me, lots of gas and a feeling of irritability.  Recently I had an MRI of my heart and further tests have been ordered. The cardiologist wont cut back on my medication so I feel the need to get a second opinion.

My advice is that Ibuprofen is not a safe thing to be taking. I would seek some independent opinion on the medication you are taking.
