If not already I would advise you discuss your IBS with your GP there are several diets that can be tried, they will need to see which one is best in your case. There are various medications they can also offer you that will ease your discomfort

Try the Low Fodmap diet and ask your doctor for an antispasmodic like  Buscopan when you get pain.  Avoid fizzy drinks and broccoli, cabbage and brussels sprouts which can cause gas.

Hello I am a 71 yr old woman suffered from irritable bowel many yrs. Age age 42 good luck to get to talk to not only an allergy specialist but she was also a research scientist into allergies. Was first a doctor. She says most is caused by constant irritation by a food alkergy. Mine turned out to be garlic!

Already knew had a pencillin allergy and all related drugs so she said an sulfur allergy, garlic being high in sulfur.

That the bowels cannot take constant irritation or you will develop Chrons or bowel cancer both i had been been tested for.

Took me a monbth or so to get better cutting out all garlic. She had said anything you are allergic to natural or not is a poison to your body.

You must keep track of everything you eat. Forget packaged foods. Many of us cannot have msg either it comes disguised under many names.

Keep a diary every day what you ate and where, you might find a pattern.
