IBS and body tension

Has anyone experienced whole body tension and not been able to get any relief? My body keeps drawing itself up and I cannot keep my shoes on. My body feels like it is wrenching itself to have a bowel movement and the doctor says it is IBS. I find that. Hard to believe. All of my tests come back normal and my blood work is fine with no inflamation. Any ideas of what this might be

Do you have constipation/diarrhoea and generalised, shifting abdominal pain?  Is that what you mean when you say your whole body is wrenching to have a bowel movement?

Is the wrenching feeling a twisting sensation in your abdomen?  Does it feel like cramping?   These sensations can be IBS symptoms, especially if all your tests have come back clear.

I experience this occasionally, but wondered if it was from my post viral fatigue until I did a food diary. Tomatoes and oats really kick off my ibs cramps and this causes cramping feeling in my armpits, tension headaches, neck stiffness and also ankle stiffness. Seems like the muscles cramp up a bit and I feel pretty tired. Also worse with constipation as well.

I do have constipation/diaoriah, it does feel like a twisting. My body pulls my tight leg up and tension in my buttock then it burns in my bikini area then I get pain in my left side and my left leg draws up with extreme tension to the point it burns. I do get pain in my armpits and down my arms. My hands shake and I do get leg cramps. The tips of my fingers look like I have been soaking in water for a long time bit have not. When I eat my body starts twisting and pulling up, and really doesn't matter what I eat. I am on a restricted first with fine acttivia ham sandwich with grapes and chicken with carrots. I also drink a protein shake

I would speak to your doctor again.  I don’t understand the sensations you are having.  For it to be IBS, the twisting and cramping sensations would be in your abdomen.  The sensations you are getting seem to be something else.  Try a food diary to see if it is diet related.

It also feels like my butt is drawing itself up. I have tension in my ankles. It also feels like my body loops around. It uses to feel like something was twisting/lightly scratching in my abdomen. Again the more I eat and use the bathroom the tighter my body gets

Hmm have you had vitamin levels checked, or b12 etc. Are you following the fodmap diet?

I think you need to see Dr again and chat through things.

I take a B complex and a B12 with folic acid. My doctor has pretty written me off sin e all my tests have come back normal as well as blood tests. He want me to talk to a therapist which I have. I have been telling him about this for over a year. I don't do much of anything anymore, had to quit my job. It seem the more I do the tighter my body gets as well as trying to stretch or use a hand messaged the worse it gets. I am just at my ends and want to commit suicide because nothing HELPS. Any suggestions for a Doctor? The GI and neurologists put the responsibility back k to my doctor. He throws medicine at me that doesn't relieve what is going on just makes my head feel like it is outside of my body looking in
