IBS and pale patch in stool

Has anyone ever experienced a pale patch in stool? I've been a bit constipated the last couple days and have been dealing GERD symptoms, but have had no other issues so it seems unlikely this could be related to lack of bile (the most common reason for pale stools. This was also only a patch of pale so I'm thinking it may have been mucus (possibly) or something i ate which was undigested ... Regardless, anyone have any advise/experience?
