IBS and physical sickness?

do they go hand in hand? is it common under extreme stress to be physically sick? just asking for a friend!

Yes, there is so called brain gut link. Stress can induce variety of symptoms, like heart palpitations, blood pressure abnormalities, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, general weakness and feeling numb etc.
