IBS/coeliac

I was diagnosed with IBS way back in my late teens (I'm now 46) i've had three children ( and three miscarriages)I have hypothyroidism, pernicious anemia, recurring mouth ulcers, bleeding gums (my dentist can't find a cause ) three years ago I was advised to try the low FODMAP diet. Blood tests and endoscopy had ruled out coeliac. The FODMAP made things much better. But now my symptoms are coming back in force. Should I ask to be retested? I'm still eating wheat as I know stopping before the tests can scupper the results.

Helen, have the test, but if it comes back negative go gluten free and be very careful about you diet. Take note that Barley Extract and things such as Malt Vinegar will be a problem. Act as if you were actually Coeliac and see how things pan out. Do you have the B16 jabs for your PA? If not I think you should ask about that at the GP
