IBS flare up

I got diagnosed with IBS about 7 years ago but recently I've had cramps and pain in my stomach and my stools have changed drastically. They look shredded, tend to be light brown, normal and dark all at the same time and there are whole bits of undigested food/yellow chunks. (The stool isn't tarry or foul smelling) Is this normal during a flare up? Has anybody else experienced anything like this?
This is the first time its been this bad and the anxiety is getting to me.

HELLO im sorry to hear about your flare up. i had one this afternoon and im going on holiday tomorrow. i seem to have a pain in my lower stomach underneath my belly button most of the time. im going to try just eating gluten free bread. perhaps you should keep a food diary. wish you well

Sounds like an IBS flare up. The symptoms can change over time and anxiety makes it worse. Everyone experiences it differently. Ask your doctor for an anti spasmodic and try a food diary to see what foods are not digesting well. Try to sta6 as calm as possible.

Thanks for all your quick replies. I will just weather it and visit the doctors when I can. Stupid anxiety!

sounds like ibs . try buscopan or meberevine to ease the cramping. also i find trying to prevent over eating at one sitting or undereating also helps ease the cramping.
