IBS herbal remedies

i've been suffering from IBS for about 20 years.  I am in my fourties now and it's not really getting better. I was wondering if there are any herbal remedies we can use?. I heard peppermint oil is helpful can someone give me some information or advice please?

    Peppermint oil will help with indigestion & heartburn, coconut oil helps to eliminate other things, you really need to look at your diet x

    Peppermint oil capsules before meals or problem foods/drinks will help as it puts a soothing lining on the bowels. Too many peppermint oil pills could give you reflux.

    Peppermint tea can also help. I belove ginger is also good for some people.

    I am a 54 year old male and have had IBS for almost 30 years.

      Home made fresh coconut oil but not aten but use as a skin cleanser

      Ad a squeeze of lemon for brushing ones teeth hehe

    peppermint and ginger help with nausea, peppermint also with cramps. a lot of indian spices are good for digestion, as is fennel.

    it depends what works for you.

    accupuncture is supposed to help with cramps etc

    - Manage stress

    - Manage your weight

    - Avoiding food triggers

    - Eating smaller, more frequent meals

    - Quitting Smoking

    - Add probiotics into your routine
