Ibs low left back buttock pain

im so fed up with this ugly left  low back buttock ache. It is getting me down & im struggling to  do normal chores. I'm going to have pelvic xray & I have ibuprophem gel to rub on back. I do get constipation which doesn't help. I get bouts of the back pain & constipation. It is very hard to know where the pain is really coming from. The only thing that really helps is my warm heat wheat bag. I don't seem to suffer at night it is when I get up moving about & after  I do strain a bit when going yo toilet.does anyone have same sort of symptoms? Does anyone know of a good pain killer to help me get through . Many thanks

    you remind me of my experience exactly 

    I went through all this and trust me if I tell you it's all about the bowel and bladder 

    it will take time to go away watch your food avoid the constipation like try taking less amounts of food and don't put strain on your lower back 

    take a urine test cos when you have constipation the bowel will press against your bladder and when urine stays inside the bladder will get inflamed and causes lower back pain

    regarding constipation when the stools pile up in the lower part of your bowel and stay it'll cause you thigh and buttock pain well atleast this was my experience

    and don't worry if it's just your bowel it'll go away gradually just keep up the heat and ibuprofen it's exactly what helped me get rid of the muscle pain and tension in my lower back

      Hi marie, just seen your comment, makes me hopeful 😁 how long did you have the pain and how long did it take for it to go away?!.. thanks

      it took me approximately 3 weeks to start feeling well

      and a month and a half to be pain free 

      it may take less for u cos at my time i didnt know that my bowel and bladder were doing all this

    Hi,

    You need to go to the doctors and he will give you some laxatives to help you move the contents of your bowel easily as I did, it did help.  My ibs whenever it flared up left me with pain in my lower back and gut, I did not know it was all connected, but it is.

    I'm suffering the same atm!.. i have mainly left side lower back pain goes into the top of bum also pain inner hip/groin!.. hurts when pressed.. i suffer from constipation to!.. in debates whether it's my iibs-c causing the pain or lady bits inside!.. the normal otc painkillers don't help me!.. the doc gave me codine which helps but makes me drozy!.. msg me if you feel like a chat xx
