IBS medication

ive just started new medication for my IBS and wondering how long before it starts to work? Every day I either have discomfort, feeling full or diarrhoea like feelings before I have a bowel movement & im getting frustrated as its impacting day to day life.

    What medication are you taking?  I take Buscopan and it works within a few hours. If your medication is slow in taking effect, you could try painkillers as well.  This works for me.

      Audmonal forte it was prescribed by dr.

      Not getting bad pain more discomfort I feel like I have a tummy bug!!

      When I started with IBS I thought I had a tummy bug as well and I was given Mebeverine to try and diagnose me.  The medication made my symptoms worse and so I stopped taking them.  It took 3 and a half months and eight doctors to diagnose IBS.

    Try to have probiotic and charcoal. Try to avoid spicy food which can trigger IBS. Also you may allergy with wheat or gluten that cause you discomfort. Avoid fried food. Keep good diet. Balance beween vegetable and meat then you will be fine. All the best.
