IBS, Sinuses or am I just anxious about it all

hi all,
so for nearly 2 years now, I have not felt brilliant and its really affecting my day to day life as it makes me anxious. I have always suffered with mucus, ears always feel clogged, always put it down to hayfever symptoms but this year has been pretty much all year round. I was given dymista nasal spray amd fexofendine last year for a few months and this helped slightly but when i used it this year it made no difference. at the beginning of the year I was very ill and was so worried about myself, after blood tests and endoscopy i was diagnosed with ibs told to take buscopan, i felt better April may and June mainly due to home working through covid-19 but now symptoms have come back, i can't make out if its ears, sinuses or stomach or of its a correlation of everything?
i have been regularly exercising, lots of cycling but still get symptoms, I get really stuffy nose, clogged ears, my stomach gets cramps and bloats.
i am unable to get doctor's appointment at the moment as won't see me.
this afternoon and has happened before, I get really flushed cheeks and feel like i need to make bowel movement, this also causes me to feel light headed, i try not to panic (not sure why i do panic) and this makes it worse.
does sinus issues cause facial flushing? is it just sinuses or a mix of this and IBS?
mucus always seems to be yellowy and rarely clear, just cant shift it, i bring it up and spit out but never feel clear.
I have bought a Fitbit and my heart rate seems normal.
I'd really like to know exactly what is wrong with me if anything to put my mind at rest.
currently i am taking over the counter antihistamine, and beconase nasal spray, and lepicol pro biotic for stomach.
i have cut caffeine out my diet but occasionally have a weekend Cappuccino, also cut alcohol out also and been careful with foods i eat, nothing seems to make much difference

sorry you are going through this. Of course none of us can diagnose on this site but it’s possible you could have a combination of allergies, IBS, anxiety. One thing I do know for sure is that there is a very STRONG connection between the brain and the entire gastrointestinal system. that’s why we hear of people who are highly stressed and have ulcers and other stomach and intestinal problems. So if your anxiety is high, the IBS will most likely flareup.
It’s important to completely change your diet with IBS and it sounds like you are doing that . but really try to avoid all caffeine if possible. I had to do that when I had gastritis and I actually got used to it. follow the diet for IBS as much as you can and stay away from certain foods. You can find all this online.
anxiety can cause the face to flush. It’s possible sinus issues can but not sure about that.
anxiety can actually cause IBS which it did in my case when I was in college because I was so stressed out. Anxiety and stress can be the cause of so many illnesses it’s unbelievable.
were your blood tests OK?
when your stomach cramps and bloats, is it after you have eaten something? keep track of what you’re eating and when you get symptoms of IBS.
there are people who just have chronic sinus issues. I know several people like that. Sometimes they go on antibiotics for a short time. do you smoke or do you live with somebody who smokes? Think of everything in your life that could possibly be contributing to your sinus issue. Also, have you ever considered getting an air purifier? I have one and I can tell the difference.
Make sure you are staying hydrated with water because that can help clear out the sinuses.
you said after June you started feeling poorly again. Think about if you did anything differently after June. Change in eating habits? Not staying hydrated? more anxiety? Things like that.
SO I would say for you it would be important to work on reducing anxiety levels. Also, you can always get a second opinion about your sinus issue. Maybe visit in ENT Dr. if you haven’t already done so. you’ve already been diagnosed with IBS so the important things would be your diet and reducing stress level. visit a counselor could be very beneficial.
The mind body connection is a powerful thing! I lived for years allowing anxiety to control my thoughts and it literally made me sick. With gastritis, IBS, and all kinds of anxiety symptoms . I can tell you really want to feel better and you can!
Take care of yourself. ❤

thank you for the reply. I seem to have a windy tummy constantly no matter what I eat, so i wondered if i might be sinus/post nasal drip related that could be giving me the symptoms. my wife seems to think the sinuses are causing the red face, i don't get it all the the time, but did experience it yesterday when it was bitterly windy and cold, also had the heating on. i always fear/think the worst not sure why... and then I think it could be blood pressure related, not sure why! but if i need to I think I could get this checked at a chemist, can BP cause stomach bloating? I do honestly think i should go for an allergy test too.

One of the worst things for me is when I think things to death. The Constant overthinking makes my mind go round and round and I never get any answers.
So go ahead and take action to get some answers. Take all of your questions to a doctor or doctors of your choice, get the allergy test , check your blood pressure several days in a row. To get an average reading. if it’s greater than 140/90 let your doctor know.
i don’t think the blood pressure would cause stomach issues. But anxiety does.
you fear the worst because that’s the trick anxiety plays on your mind. None of this sounds really serious you just need to get some answers to control the allergy symptoms and stomach symptoms.
