IBS with vaping ecig

Posted , 5 users are following.

I quit smoking regular cigarettes over 2 weeks ago and started using ecig. I have had IBS for 5 years and I have flare ups from time to time with stress and eating things that bother but after I been on the ecig for over a week I started to get a bad flare up that has causes bad high abdominal pain and bloating and some nausea. Anyone else out there have the same experience with ecigs?

    Hi Allison

What strength ecig are you on.

Also withdrawal from cigarettes can cause multiple symptoms, and as you say stress plays a part in Ibs,

It is good you have quit cigs, some times we smoke to relieve stress,

I am sure someone here will have a better answer,

      Hi Junie,

Thank you for responding. smile I have a lot of stress too. Daily but I have been dealing with stress a long time. (Bad marriage)

So I thought maybe it was the ecig cause I seemed to have stress a lot lol

I'm on 18 strength on the ecig. You know i never thought it was withdrawalas from the cigarettes. Could be. Thank you again from your input. smile

      Hi Allison

It may not be withdrawal, but when I stopped smoking, I did get withdrawal symptoms, my doc said it was to be expected.

I know stress plays a big part in my Ibs,

Talk to you doctor, my doc always says get your stress sorted out, I told him I stress when I call to make an appointment with him or wait for results for weeks.

Life's to short, and I try hard not to stress.

I am going for a Physiolift appointment next week, I am going to see if they can give me a plan to excercise, and I will use that to de stress. I used to laugh when people say do yoga, but I think it will help.

Take care and keep us up to date

      Hi Allison

Hope you are feeling a little better.

Will let you know what my physio says on Thursday, if they suggest yoga, I will do it

I am seeing them about rib pain, which my doctor tells me is costochondritis.

      Take care

      Junie
