Ibuprofen and naproxen

hi all i have a condition called costocondritis are ibuprofen and naproxen safe to take ? because silly me who suffers with anxiety has read the risk of taking the medication and apparently they can cause a heart attack ?

    Ibuprofen is one of the most common medications taken, the most common side effects are more likely to be stomach related if you are taking them a lot. Do you get indigestion, heartburn or reflux? You are supposed to take them with food and if you are getting stomach problems, start taking something like nexium. You definitely should not take naproxen and ibuprofen together one or the other. Naproxen is stronger and works better but it can upset your stomach more, I got gastritis from taking that. There is a link with NSAIDs and heart arrhythmias and if you suffer with heart problems you are at greater risk, but this is uncommon. I would say try not to take them all the time only when you are in a lot of pain and always check drug interactions because they can interfere with other medications, even herbal meds.
