Ice cold feeling inside

Not sure I ve mentioned before but I keep getting what feels like freezing cold inside where my hip is ? It sometimes radiates to my thigh - if I place a hot water bottle on it ,it ll go away , but then back again the following day !! Its really odd and I wondered if anyone else has experienced this ? Could it be to do with nerves or muscles ?

Hi - yes , that sounds very nerve orientated , as a patient after my first op i had the sensation of cold water trickling down inside my leg from thigh to ankle - nerves are funny things and can cause odd sensations as they regenerate . If its persistant and /or painful then you should mention it to your doctor but otherwise I wouldnt worry too much hon

    Hi khippie,

I certainly have weird sensations that I believe are nerve orientated.  Not the ice-cold feeling but extra sensitivity all over the skin of my thigh and sometimes a pins and needles like feeling.  I think these are all a normal part of healing.

A hot water bottle helps me too.

Yes, the time has really gone quickly although I didn't think it would at the beginning did you? wink

I have taken a hot water bottle to bed with me every night since I got home.  I think it has helped me to sleep and if my leg starts aching it's there to ease it.

11 more days to my check up and *fingers crossed* being allowed to drive.  I'll cry and stamp my feet if he says I can't.
