Ichy Hands

Posted , 2 users are following.

For the past few weeks I have noticed that the palms of my hands are itchy, warm and red. I have been using the same products and medication for sometimes and can't see what the cause may be. Does anyone have any idea/suggestions as to what I could do, without running to my doctor?

Most medications have side effects -- have you checked if the itchy problem on your hands could be from any med?   I always go there first.....

I have been taking the same meds for several years, yet the symptoms with the hands has been just a few weeks.

I would still look at the lists of possible side effects....these may not show  up for a while....

I use a great homeopathic pain cream for my joint issues and it wasn't until 6 months later or so, that a rash showed up on my leg....got rid of it and still use the cream as it's very effective otherwise.....

I've been taking grape seed extract for almost 2 decades and this antioxidant is short of a miracle for just about EVERYTHING......

I understand what you are saying, but I have been taking the same medication for many, many years including medication for diabetes, cholesterol, Charcot Marie Tooth Disease and pain relief.

I have heard of a condition called carpal tunnel syndrome. I wonder if it this, as I get pins and needles, numb fingers and this is in both hands/wrists along with twitching.

Is there anyone out there have any idea?

Just planting some seeds Mark, there is a whole school of health and healing that believe the cholesterol is a big myth and gets the drugs going into people's bodies.....statins are the worst drugs, so much damage done by them.....makes drug companies very  healthy thou.

If you deal with type II, this is very manageable and many can do it without drugs..

I've heard of the Charcot stuff but not clear on it.

Check us out on the Alternative Group here as we talk about these and all the drug damage being done to bodies.....

I've been in holistic healing for 25 yrs and BELIEVE we need to do so much of our own work and we often find out what we need to HEAR from others, not the docs.....

I don't know how old you are but I'm 76 and my integrative MD has been checking my homocysteine levels vs cholesteroll for hearth health....

We  need cholesterol and I believe so much of this push for drugs is a big fraud......     Hopefully, I've hit some nerves with you.....

Again statins cause so much damage, check out the side effects for yourself.    J

If you don't believe this cholesterol myth issue, there are books out there written about this very subject....you can just google:  books on cholesterol myth

I am unsure about cholesterol and tried to avoid statin based drugs, but had mild heart attack and blood test showed a sharp increase of cholesterol. Since going back on statins levels have dropped considerable.

Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, if you look on one of the search engines and type CMT it will come up. Google is the best one.

As for diabetes, I am type 2 and find that I do need drug intervention, as I do on regular occasions have hypos to the extent that I have been hospitalized several times.

As for my age, I am almost 50

I have several doubts as I have said before prior. My GP has mixed views as well. I recently had my bloods done, re diabetic routine check and came back with a cholesterol increase. GP said we will wait a few months before changing any medication.

I have a friend with Type II and she is forever WALKING and walking and is a  pretty hyper person...she takes Metformin and that drug has plenty of side effects too......Berberin is an alternative for diabetic drugs and I've told her about it....but

Diet and exercise are critical....sugar and carbs are killers....

I am in the US and I don't have trust in drugs....if you don't have a problem you will get them with the drugs.....so I'm very shy with the drug world.    J

Ask your doc about homocysteine.....get a hold of the book the heart revolution.

I have tried several different kinds of drugs, although I have heart problems I have problems in relation to what I can take even when it comes to blood thinners. When I am due a blood test for what ever reason I am on maximum dose as for some reason my blood congeals as soon as it enters the blood vile.

i am under three different consultant specialists for my health also a cancer specialist, orthopaedic consultant and a neuromuscular specialist. I was told that this is indefinite and will be under hospital care and now I have had a MRI scan and that shows early stages of dementia.

December 9th I will be having my next operation to improve walking and that will put me out of action for 4 months.

I have had cancer twice and now have an enlarged prostate (test in March) for cancer for a third time.

Now you have my history and understand what I am dealing with on a daily basis.

Have you ever worked with the alternative world of healing....something tells me NO.....We in the US do a lot of holistic work and it seems the UK is majorally into the pharma world.....   I left that world so to speak in the 80's when I ended up in the ER from a pharma drug.....

You have a lot on your plate.    I've been taking Pycnogenol and or grape seed extract for almost 2 decades and Pycnogenol comes to us from France.....well, at a lecture in 1995, were were told it "MAY" prevent cancer.....this powerful antioxidant has been a salvation in my life...

I know some drugs are connected to the memory issues/...Wish you best whatever.   You are very young to be so challenged...  joy...

I thank you for your time and help in this matter. But as I have many issues to deal with, I would not think of change incase of any unwanted ailments.
