Idea for pictures

Since there aren't any pictures of the different types of herpes lesions that are out there, I feel the public is left in the dark and doesn't know what to look for.  This leaves people confused, misinformed and looking for answers as to what they may have or what to look for when with someone new.  If you have herepes and have pictures of your lesions, outbreaks, scars etc, can you please post them.  There is little to no info on the net and I believe that if it starts here, maybe it can help people who only know "the worst case scenario" pictures that are on websites.

I agree that there should be more information out there about early signs and symptoms rather than the worst case scenario pics. I suffered unnecessarily for almost 3 weeks as even my doctor didn't pick up on the early symptoms I was experiencing during a physical exam. These included ongoing thrush like symptoms but negative when tested and tiny cuts on my perineum which I had mistaken for tears caused by penetration. I was convinced it couldn't be herpes as I "looked after myself and got tested regularly". How naive I was back then. Pictures would certainly help but also dissemination of information. That's where discussion forums like this can be extremely helpful to people trying to get answers.

Basically what I've said above. Initially I thought I had thrush. 2 tests came back negative but I treated it for thrush second time anyway and those symptoms went away but I also had swollen glands in my groin, temperature, fainting. Then the tiny cuts started appearing on the piece of skin between my vagina and my anus which refused to heal with any cream I used and eventually the cuts turned into ulcers and this area became quite swollen. It was extremely painful to pass urine and after a couple of days I was in constant pain and discomfort. Finally after 3 weeks and to my shock I developed blisters on one side on the outside of my vulva and on the same side around my anus. This was after 2 visits to my GP. And on my 3rd visit I was diagnosed with herpes during a physical exam.

Besides "classic" herpes lesions, there are too many variations to meaningfully cover in photos. Herpes can be a single lesion or multiple; clustered or spread out; pinhead-sized or bigger; look like a bump, blister, ulcer or tear/fissure; confused with a pimple, ingrown hair, bug bite or jock itch; and some people have no lesions at all.

That's why Im saying, people should post pictures of their outbreaks so that people who aren't sure, will go to the doctor and get tested instead of just thinking they have an ingrown hair, a piimple, a cut, yeast etc.  I've scoured the internet a while now and there is absolutely nothing showing pictures of the milder cases of an outbreak or the outbreaks that arent the classic poster child of herpes blisters.

Think it's easier to just say that, given its broad presentation, any skin lesion/abnormality in the anogenital/boxer shorts region -- especially those accompanied/preceded by soreness, itching and/or tingling, those that recur in the same place, or first occurrences accompanied by fever, swollen lymph nodes and burning urination -- could potentially be herpes, especially if you have reason to suspect infection (recent sex or oral sex), so get it swab tested regardless of appearance.

A photo of typical blisters and ulcers (not extreme examples, I agree) would be useful, as that would represent around half of all symptomatic cases. I already shared a link to photos of a typical first outbreak in a woman who bravely documented her outbreak over several days. See the pinned post in this forum; NSFW link is located in the first subsection, if I'm not mistaken. Bottom line, though, is get tested, don't self-diagnose.

Have found relief myself by ingesting some oils. (Cayenne, Licorice, Garlic, and Oil of Oregano) Only taken two for two weeks at a time and i have mixed Thyme with one of the herbs. This hasn't cured me but it HAS GIVEN ME RELIEF. Focus also on your diet, water intake, & rest.

    This helps for sure ?
