Idiopathic subglottic stenosis - anyone found a connection with allergies?

Hello - I was diagnosed with a subglottic stenosis (or tracheal stenosis) 3 years ago and have had 5 surgeries so far.  No cause has yet been found - the usual one have been ruled out - cancer, Wegeners, reflux etc, and I wondered if anyone had ever come across an association with allergies or has any insight into what it might be caused by?  I would be SO grateful for any clues as I am facing repeat surgeries and then tracheal resection which I am really dreading.  Many thanks in advance.
