If you have an accident does fibro make the pains more severe

Posted , 3 users are following.

I am 72 and normally fairly active but I was riding an electric bike went to put my foot down to get off and slipped and the bike fell on top of me

I felt a pain go accross my back and could not get up or move as the pain was so bad

I went to hospital had xrays no broken bones or grazes (although I had back op 30 years ago) it happened on April 21st and I am still on strong pain killers for pain in hip and back

Does anyone find if they hurt themselves in any way that the pain is more severe because of them having Fibro ?

I'm sorry that you are in so much pain. And yes, even a small accident can

throw your whole body into a spasm. I'm 48 and my teenage daughter was

playing around and shoved me in the grocery store last week. She pushed

me hard in the back. I didn't fall, but I lunged forward and felt a pain in my

back. The next morning I couldn't barely move. I hurt from my neck to the

bottoms of my feet. My suggestion is hot baths, rest and time. I was

diagnosed 11 years ago and this isn't the first time I've been in some sort of

accident. I hope this passes soon. Feel better.

Sorry to hear your in soooo much pain 😩Wendy, an accident absolutely flares up pain from fibro, stay stressless if you can that too flares the fibro pain, it loves it when we stress,  lots of hot baths as Kathy suggests use epson salts in it, gentle hugs Wendy from over the seas, hope things settle down soon for you🙏 I'll be praying for you, be blessed, have a lovely day...remember: many hot water bottles give us less pain. an Australia proverb, lol😘😍💐
