HEY GUYS, IT'S ME JOSH, 19 YEAR OLD BALL OF ANXIETY. I POSTED A LITTLE ON HERE A FEW WEEKS/ MONTH BACK ABOUT LPR AND THE ANXIETY I HAVE HAD ABOUT THROAT CANCER. AFTER MULTIPLE ENT VISITS LATER, IM PRETTY CONVINCED, BUT I STILL CANT COMPLETELY SHRUG THE THOUGHT. LAST TIME I SAW MY ENT HE SAID I NEED TO SEE A GP AND GET ANXIETY MEDICINE, BUT I HAVENT HAD TIME, AS I JUST STARTED WORK.

MY QUESTION FOR ANYONE WHO HAS REFLUX/ LPR IS THIS: DID YOU HAVE A FREQUENT SCRATCHY THROAT. I BUNCH OF THICK MUCUS OR SIMPLY THE FEELING OF MUCUS BACK THERE, AND A BUNCH OF THROAT CLEARING, AND OR HICCUPS, AND A FEELING OF SOMETHING PRESENT AROUND MY VOCAL CORDS (WHICH HAVE BEEN LOOKED AT, AT MY LAST VISIT ABOUT A MONTH OR TWO AGO) ? IF SO FEEL FREE TO GO INTO DETAIL, I WILL READ AND RESPOND TO ALL REPLIES.

IT HAS BEEN REALLY MESSING WITH MY HEAD AND HOW I LIVE MY LIFE THINKING I HAVE CANCER. IT SUCKS. IF YOU CAN RELATE PLEASE SHARE YOUR STORY OR EXPERIENCE. THANKS... I TAKE 2 PRILOSEC PILLS A DAY, AND FOR THE MOST PART HAVE BEEN TRYING MY BEST AT EATING NON ACIDIC FOODS.

I suffer from acid reflux a lot. I get comstant heart burn and nausea. About 3 months ago I went to the hospital thinking it was something serious bc I have health anxiety and everything was fine but it was just acid reflux problems. I had a lot of burping, chest pains, left arm pain, jaw pain and back pain. I felt like I had something in my throat and I had a dry cough too. The hospital gave me prevacid but I didnt even take it for a whole week bc it made me feel dizzy & panicky.

That's the acid reflux eating at your throat. Sleep with head elevated and not flat. Get an acid blocker like nexeum or equivalent. It's going to be tough just starting a new job. Your going to need time to get it together and rest. See doctor and get med for acid reflux right away.

Yeah it's the acid reflux. It causes those symptoms. Get medication for it. 👍Good Luck
