IF YOU'RE HAVING DOUBTS - GO FOR IT!!

I can't recommend this drug enough, yes everybody is different and no it won't work for everyone but it has honestly turned my life around and got me out of a depressed rut that I'd been stuck in so long. I was so afraid to start medication for mental health but honestly please give it a try and stick it out, the first few weeks are tough but stick it out!!

Best of luck

     Hi Georgia,

It’s so lovely to hear something positive about Sertraline, i’vebeen On 50mg just over two weeks and gradually the side affects are easing a bit.

I really hope I  start to feel like you.

The sad thing is that I want to try and sleep without sleeping pills and hope the Sertraline helps me.

People say on the forum  that Sertraline keeps you awake, that’s the last thing I need.

I only have a few sleeping tablets left. I can’tgo Through staying  awake again it made me very depressed and ill.

    Doctor can’t prescribe any more.

Any sound advice would be greatly appreciated.

    God bless.

      Hi Blondey,

That's great you're nearly over the worst of it! I would say the sertraline didn't affect my sleep in the slightest, if anything its stopped me waking up early in the morning and then allowed me to sleep after that point! Try not to worry about sleep and give it a go without, I think if you panic that you won't sleep it may make it worse. I also find mindfulness helps as much as I hated that at first too! theres loads of good apps for easy practices.

      Best of luck to you!!

      Thank you Georgia,

For your advice, what mg did you take of Sertraline. And did you take any other medication with it to calm the affects of Sertraline.

I will try at the weekend not to take a sleeping pill.

      Thanks again🌈

Hi, it's improved my sleep too, j used to make hourly, then really early on a morning, now j sleep so much better all night, when I first started I introduced a bed time routine, camomlile tea and reading before bed, I also got a lavender pillow spray, my sleep started to pick up after that, now I can just to to sleep straight away. I stated sertraline in January, 25mg for 2 weeks then upped to 50mg. X

    Hi

    glad it’s working for you.

iv been on it for 14 months now, only on a low dose for health anxiety.

it took me 12 weeks for the side effects to go, but I really don’t know where I would be today without it.

I didn’t want to go out, being in crowded places I had panic attacks.

Im fine now, have the odd panic but it soon goes.

    good luck

I'm glad to hear that it has been 12 weeks for you. I've been on it for 7 weeks and still feel the tension side effects. I hate it. I was thinking maybe this med is not for me. But I'm so tired of trying so many meds.

?I'm praying this works for me.
