I was exposed to HSV2 back in July 27. I've tested 4 times since then at 5 weeks, 10.5 weeks and 12.2 and 12.3 weeks. All test were IGG for HSV1 &2. All tests came back negative, 1st test through Quest, 2nd any lab test, 3rd lab corps and 4th any lab test. Can I move on now? Thank you

have you been taking antivirals for an extended period of time within those tests?

you should be fine then. hsv2 igg tests only miss 8% by default and usually by 12 weeks antibodies show up.

hi Jay, i was exposed in jan and took antivirals from jan-july... (had fever, headache and neurological symoms and skin irritation, never real blisters) up and untill september my IGG is tested 4 times negative.

do you suggest that it could be false negative because of the antivirals? where did you find this info?

      hope to hear from you

if you dont even have symptoms why would you even worry? almost everybody gets exposed to hsv2 at some point, with or without knowing it, not even to say hsv1 by kissing/sharing food/drinks.

NO symptoms + NO igg = you could enjoy the fact that you dont have it + even more, that you dont experience herpes symptoms. in otherr words: enjoy instead of worry 😃! really
