Igg test results and symptoms

Maybe someone can help?

I’ve been on this crazy herpes roller coaster ride for over 4 months now.

Before my super low possible exposure (handjob) took place 4 months ago I had absolutely no health issues at all. Within one week afterwards I discovered a pimple at the base of my penis, the entire head of my penis become very sensitive and tingled nonstop for an entire week. My scrotum and anus become irritated and inflamed as well. I also had burning sensations in my hands feet and lower back. Note: I still feel tingling and sensitivity in the head of my penis periodically? Not normal for me!

I was tested for all the basic stds. all neg.

At week 6 I was tested for hsv 1 & 2 igg and my results came back hsv1, (0.78) and hsv2, (0.12) both neg.

I tested again at week 11, the test results came back: hsv1 (1.06 equivocal) and hsv2, (0.18). Neg.

I’ve seen upwards of 6 doctors in the last 4 months the last one being an infectious disease doctor just last week. All telling me that I’m perfectly fine and I don’t have herpes.

Again, prior to this encounter I had ABSOLUTELY NO health issues! I now experience burning sensations in my arms, legs, back of hands, and calf’s. My doctor proscribed Gabapentin 300mg 3x daily. I’m not sure if its helping or causing more burning sensations so a side effect?

My question is this:

1. What are your thoughts regarding my igg values, do you think that this is a upward trend and will be eventually a positive in the upcoming weeks? Or is this just a  normal fluctuation?

2. Has anyone else had these  “so called” herpes nerve pain with the numbers like mine?

3. If you think that the burning sensations isn’t related then what other kind of infection could have picked up from getting a handjob causing this type of effect on my body? I ask this, because I was Absolutely perfectly fine health wise prior to this low exposure.

Note: I’m going to retest again this week.

      Hey Nicholas,

Thanks for your response. So, what are the doctors telling you? Are they telling you that you're fine and you don't have anything to worry about like mine are? What are your igg values, neg, pos. what? Are you taking anything that helps the burning?

Here's the kicker. Every doctor I've seen tells me that my symptoms are unrelated to herpes. What else could it be?

Hey thanks again, I hope to hear back from you.

I have been to clinics, a GP, a urologist, and a naturopath dr. so far all but the naturopathic day I’m fine. He is actually listening to my symptoms, prescribed doxycycline to no avail, has me on antifungal meds do to oral thrush, so he wanted to rule out candidis, doesn’t seem to be helping, and he prescribed a 10 day course of famvir antiviral, but he wants me to finish antifungal meds before I start those, so I’ll keep you posted if they help. My igg came out neg. for both 1&2 at 12 weeks no number givin just below <.9 but have had urge to urinate, burning on penis-testicles, burning numb feet-hands, constipation, tingling and shooting pains through out body, irritated throat, tingling numb tounge and gums and severe fatigue, almost 5 months now, just trying to keep a positive outlook and fight through this, I’ve always been very healthy so it’s hard to deal with, but I am determined to fight through this. Through my blood work found out some of my vitamin levels were off so nat. Dr. Has me on some good supplements and some natural antivirals and I completely changed my diet, I lost 30 lbs do to anxiety and loss of appetite so trying to get that under control, so my advice to you would be to drink tons of water, get on some good natural supplements, healthy diet, do your own research, be persistent with dr.’s as far as telling them what you want them to check and don’t let them tell you it’s in your head and put you on antidepressants. Good luck, don’t stress, and don’t give up hope. Keep me updated.

You have to test the bump if you really wanna know if it's herpes. It's the best way! The doctor has to take a sample of the fluid inside the bump.

That's the thing. I had one pimple at the base of my penis. My doctor told me the it looked like an ingrown hair from shaving. I haven't had anything resembling an outbreak on my genitals since then to test. Its been over 4 months.

I'm going to do one last igg test this week. And if that doesn't resolve the matter, then I'm going to look into a western blot test.

I really appreciate your help and I wish us both nothing but the best.
