Iliopsoas tendinitis, nerve damage, adhesions

It has been a long time I’ve posted. Things have gone from bad to worse but I do have answers. I definitely did have iliopsoas tendinitis but insidiously what had started as a mildly numb lateral thigh progressed to having sensation but being very sore and the incidiously became more numb with numbness, tingling, pain and tightness spreading to buttocks, circumference if hip, front thigh, lateral thigh, back thigh. I still thought this was from the tendonitis until I saw Dr. Riss in Florida. Dr. Ross thought some of the paints iliopsoas tendinitis but he did not know what was the cause of the lateral thigh pain opining maybe it was scar tissue.. he sent me for an injection which was very diagnostic, the pain related to the psoas was immediately relieved for about 1 1/2 hours just from the lidocaine but the injection did nothing for the lateral thigh pain which was actually worse than the psoas pain. Fast forward. MRI of hip, MRI of pelvic nerves, nerve conduction studies done in nyc with diagnoses of meralgia paesthesthsia from scar tissue which is permanent, a lot of I think general adhesions partially attributed to a circlage placed by the surgeon for a less than hairline intraoperative fracture. In other words he didn’t really need to set the fracture, I have a continued effusion from the capsule 8 months post op. the mri showed some thickening of the iliopsoas bursa. So I think the tendinitis if not completely resolved is definitely much improved but what I’m left with is nerve damage and fibrous scaring, aka adhesions. I’ve always learned that if you remove the adhesions they will come back and could come back worse. Has anyone out there had experience with removal if adhesions or any specific physical therapy that has helped? By the way, I have a new surgeon and he is concerned that I might have infection. Going for an aspiration if the effusion and am scheduled for surgery to have the curclage removed and possible revision.

I have pains especially at night but all the time 4 months post up
But I had been recovering amazing initially. Want mri but dr thinks I am fine. The pain is horrendous. Cortisone shot gave relief for a day maybe.
Let me know how your new surgeon and you deal with getting positive results.

Hi. I had a THR 2 years ago. Since then I've had a continuous burning, tingling sensation around the side of hip which surgeon feels is scar tissue. Also have bursitis on top front of hip. Am thinking of getting a 2nd opinion as not sure I want an operation to clear scar tissue as not convinced that is cause of my issue as surgeon not that sure himself whether surgery would be successful.

I feel so good compared to before surgery and hate complaining as I like my surgeon but do feel MRI is the only thing that might show anything as X-ray isn’t showing anything.
Original injury was not seen on x ray either so I am not confident in X-rays anymore.
Cortisone shot in bulk of scar tissue it side of hip upper thigh helped initially but after about 48 hours the pain was back and worse.
Walking as much as possible, but that is starting to hurt in groin area. Same as before THR the throbing down leg to ankle that happened at night only is now happening more often now during the day too.
Was told not IT band as that is outside of leg only.
Feels like the post in femur is not happy. Could just be my imagination I suspect but was not concerned and 100% positive attitude about healing till this all started.
Getting worried. .
