Hi , mine lasted about 5 months and i was prescribed cortico steroid cream to use on the lesions..but as i was lierally coverd from shoulders down to feet (even had some on soles and palms of hand) in the end a lot of them just merged so some lesions were 3 inches in diametre so i just covered myself in the cream. I was also on predisolone for other ailemnt ...so maybe this helped. I went on a cruise holiday for 6 days and forgot all about my lesions (not itchy at all so didnt feel them ..just scary looking) and as it was a transatlantic voyage I was covered in clothing and didnt see any sun...after 6 days i noticed that all were gone...however left black 'stains' on my skin and can see still see the black stain of the hearld patches...had 2 on my lower back...on either side ..mirror images.
?so what helped ? cold sea unpoluted air? cortico steroids? really dont know. I live in the Middle east so sitting in the sun was not really an option with temps of 50 degrees C..

Hey I know your pain it's horrible I know but I was at a point I didn't want to go outside but just sit in the sun it seriously cleared me up soo fast I sat in shorts and a sports bra in my yard and it cleared up so fast and use oatmeal soap calms the skin.

I was broke out so bad my whole torso., ARMS & thighs looked like a textured ceiling. I started taking l-lycine 1000mg twice a day- its 1 wk later its almost completely cleared up. I kept my showers cool, used head & shoulders shampoo to wash with, and gold bond 2%colloquial oatmeal lotion to moisturize. I also took benedryl to help with the itchiness. Good luck & my sympathies!
