Iv recently been diagnosed severe bpd with psychotic symptoms.

I was on mirtazapine & halperidol the peridol worked a treat but not the other so that was changed to venlafaxine & the peridol to olanzapine due to sides. So the olanzapine didnt work atall resulting in 17 overdoses two seizures & a stroke all to shut the voices up. Now im being put back on venlafaxine but nothing to help stop the voices even tho i was told id be on sulpiride so my question is my cc, shrink & crisis team all know that i did the od's to shut the voices up so why give me back what i used & not tackle the voices only by offering dbt?

What is severe bpd. I have been reading about bpd. The criteria is grey thinking and changing your mind about people. I find it a strange condition and sometimes feel I fit into that diagnosis.

    Apparenty DBT is the treatment.

    Unusual illness.

The girl in 'Shame had classic symptoms apparently.

im confused, are you saying you have borderline personality disorder? or bipolar disorder. The voices you hear MAY be from Schitzophrenia OR formerly called  Multiple Personality Disorder now called D.I.D. Dissociative Indentity Disorder, you hear voices with both. The difference with Schizophrenia is the voices are from an outside source i.e. the tv a lamp a table etc and the voices talk to you, with D.I.D. the voices are INSIDE AND sometimes outside but the voices are from what is called "alters" fragmentation from emotional physical abuse. You can have more than one diagnosis. CAUTION though NOT MANY psyciatrists, psycologists, Psycotherapist, mssw, therapist or counselors know or understand Mulitple Personality Disorder or even believe it exists BUT IT DOES I KNOW WITHOUT ANY DOUBT it comes from abuse of different kinds but PRIMARILY from incest

I have bordeline personality disorder, its classed as severe because of the severity of symptoms & the pyschotic like hallucinations & delusions

I have that BPD too, it's intense but honestly Schitzophrenia which I also was diagnosed in my teens is the most severe of most of these. I was told I have Schitzophrenia depending on who you go to, Mulitple Personality Disorder for sure, Borderline PD, PSTD, ?BP etc. I was abused significantly as a child by many people including my family
