Hi Ralph,
So sorry to hear you are having these symptoms, probably would be a good idea (if you haven't already that is) seeing the doctor and getting a blood test to confirm if it's mono or not. If it is mono, these symptoms can be common and don't want you to panic because they do go away, it can take a few months for some people though but things do get better, so hang in there and the first month or two is definitely the worst.
Taking immune boosting herbs and vitamins can really help, like a strong multi-vitamin daily (I take Immunace here in the UK, sold at Boots), high doses of Vitamin C (1000mg-3000mg per day), good doses of Vitamin D, B complex vitamin (good for energy levels and stress) and immune boosting herb like echinicea or siberian ginseng. Taking at least some of these can definitely help your immune system cope with the effects of nasty viruses such as mono.
Take care and hang in there!
Craig

Hey Ralph,
Good luck with your ER visit I hope everything has went okay, thinking about you. I think everyone can be different with mono, some are affected with bad sore throat and flu like symptoms, others maybe their throat isn't so bad but they just don't feel right and feel wiped out. Best to get it checked out though and you're doing the right thing by seeng the doc.
