Impacted or partially impacted stool

Hi guys, I'm 21 and I think I have an impacted stool in my bowels.

Up until like 2 1/2 weeks ago I was pooping once every 1-3 days. My diet hasn't been the greatest so a lot of these were hard but passable. They were large stools that hurt a lot, probably due to the lack of fibre and hydration in my diet. One day I needed to go, but what was there wouldn't budge. It was very large with no budge. Sorry for the graphic images but I had to nearly pull it out with my hand. I peeled back my Anus almost and gripped it until it started to come out. The relief was great but I kept wondering what if that is like that further up, and I think that's what I have now .ive done bits since then, with small rabbit lumps to 3-4 inch sausage looking lumps last Sunday, but not a full BM. I tried laxitives the night before and last night but those just give cramping and watery diarrhoea. Is my next step to go to a doc and get an enema/suppository? Thanks guys

Yes, you should talk to your GP! Maybe time to seriously look at your diet too! Laxatives are rarely the answer and can cause other problems! Good luck, let us know how you get on!

Your situation sounds nasty - you are very young to have these problems.  Try eating more fruit and fibre and drink more water, before you see your GP.  If you have no relief from a change of diet, then seeing your GP is the next step.  He/she may have to refer you to a bowel specialist.  Good luck!  Please let us know your progress.

Yeah my issue stems from since the end of february I went off eating brown bread and veg and started basically just eating chicken and either rice or chips and then cereals in the morning with junk in between. The last week and a half now I've switched back to high fibre bread, 3 litres of a water a day and cutting out virtually all junk food. I'm not really in any pain, no constant cramps (bar when I took Dulcolax, for obvious reasons), I can pass gas fine, I have passedsmall rabbit like lumps to 3-4 inch type 3 bristol stool chart poops since my last big one. Diarrhea started when I took Dulcolax. I woke up this morning with it and got a lot of lumpy bits and diarrhea out which gave some relief. Thats the last of the laxitives I will be taking though.

Going to give it another day or two of hitting it hard with the water and high fiber bread, if not I'll go down to my GP and see if I can get an Enema or something to flush it out then neverr let it get that bad again. As they say you don't know what you got till you dont have it anymore :D
