I wonder if it is possible to have skin tags on the pubis? I have big thighs that rub on the side of my pubis .. and right in the folds between my pubis and my thigh I found a skin tag… tell me? is it possible to have it here? I also have it on my breasts, armpits and neck. thank you

Hi, yes, it's possible. Acrochordons/Skin tags occur when the body produces extra cells in the skin's top layers. They tend to form in skin folds and areas where natural movement causes the skin to rub against itself.

That being said, there are sometimes some underlying condition that can explain skin tags like diabetes and hormonal disorders.

They are usually always benign. I'm not saying that to stress you but since have many in several (but very common) areas, maybe it's worthed it to mention it to your doctor at your next check up just in case.

thank you so much !! I was afraid it was a great wart 😦 it's on the right side of my pubis and this part often rubs my thigh! I'm going to go to a doctor anyway! for diabetes, I took a blood test yesterday I'm waiting for the results! and yes, I have some under my breasts, armpits, neck and also in the groin!! but they are very small and I don't have many!! in any case thank you ❤️ I can show you in private a photo of the one on my pubis?

I'll be happy to have a look if you want but I'm not a health professional. I'm not sure I have the expertise. All of your areas are very common and I see no reasons for concerns. Having a professional opinion just to be sure doesn't cost much and will give you peace of mind.

Hi Do we think this could be an ingrown hair at all? Looking at the photos it does potentially look like this

do you think it´s this ?? I don´t think because when I touch it's soft

Based on your pictures, it can be visually mistaken for warts but considering your skin tag history and the soft feeling to the touch, I believe it to be a skin tag. Your doctor will confirm.

I have a doctor friend who told me it was a skin tag because it is soft and there is only one and because it rubs my thigh. yes I have similar ones! and he told me that the skin tags look like warts. Is it true?

I just looked, it disappeared... I had to tear it off while washing myself, I didn't realize it.. is it serious?

This is good news. Warts do not do that. This sounds all benign and harmless. Try to not let your anxiety spiral out of control. You'll be fine 😃

thank you so much !!you reassure me a lot 😃

well written by L2341, agree on that. worth noting is that skin tags can become clotted, change into a darker color and fall off on their own
