In A&E for 5hrs last night! So frustrated!

So i am back at the doctors at 11 today! I ended up in a&e last night due to severe muscle twitching/pins and needles and restless legs. This only started since i changed from 10mg to 20mg! I was sleeping fine on 10mg but only gave it 6 weeks and thought it wasn't helping my anxiety- when I look back now I think it actually was and I had fewer side effects. Anyway after tests at hospital for serotonin syndrome and other general tests its nothing serious - the doctor at hospital believes my body isn't coping on the 20mg. I recovered before on just 10mg! I know thats what my doctor is going to say but after battling through the side effects for 3 weeks its so frustrating to change dose now! I have two children though and the lack of sleep just isn't an option! What are your thoughts please?x

bless you, just stick with it you may be wobbly for a while but it will rectify, i know how scary those symptoms are, just try to be good to yourself when you can and do try the epsom salts, they help anxiety, sleep and pain x

Thanks! On 20mg the negative side effects outweigh the benefit of being on it so theres just no point! I hope I'm not in for another night of twitchy muscles 😦 I probably am though! Positive thinking though - I recovered on 10mg last time so I know it can be done 😃

Yeh, I decided against magnesium supplements and just going to use the salts. Apparently tonic water is good according to my Grandma so I'm giving that a try too! Anything to help manage it whilst my body readjusts to the smaller dose x

How are you doing Aimee I'm, in need of bit support today. My husband went to see friends last night I wasn't up to going. He explained how difficult things been for me and got told I should pull myself together. One of them had depression for years and been on meds as has her daughter so was quite upset she had that attitude. I did find all the bad feeling voiced yesterday quite upsetting as well. I did take a whole citalopram by mistake instead of 3/4 so maybe that didnt help. I know people get weary of supporting us but I have always tried to support friends more fool me maybe!I've ordered some epsom salts so fingers crossed!

Heightened anxiety but only changed dose on wednesday so I guess this is to be expected but if i told you the thoughts and worries that have gone through my head you would think im a crazy person! Side effects and sleep are getting better but still got a little bit of muscle twitching and numb feelings in my hand making me even more anxious!! Feel like im going around in circles - can't wait to stabilise on 10mg wish it could happen overnight! what side effects have you got x

Same as you crazy thoughts and ocd thanks to withdrawal. aNxiety been awful today but bit better yesterday real merry go round. As you say going round in circles. No more panic attacks so far. Feel like a hampster on a wheel that cant get off. Hoping toria's suggestion if epsom salts help seems to be magnesium in them.****
