In absolute agony!

For the past few days I've been having bad shooting pains on both left and right sides and I've been sore, heavy and tender. But today I've felt like I've had growing pains but on my left side where my cysts are and I'm getting very sharp and fast shooting pains. When I go for a wee and I push, I get the most horrible sharp pains in my left and right side it's unbelieveable I feel like I'm being stabbed. Also my breasts are so tender I can't even gently touch them. Hospital told me a few weeks ago that I shouldn't go there as they can't help me but I don't know what else to do I'm im absolute agony😢😢😢😢

I would go to hospital because if your cyst has twisted or something they will need to help you.

I still to this day don't know why I experienced such servere pain before I found out I had a dermoid cyst.

I woke up at 2am one morning with the worst pain I have ever experienced and felt sick, need to go to toilet all in one go. I don't know if it was infected as the hospital wrongly diagnosed me 3 times so I was put on 2 strong antibiotics which cured the pain but it wasn't until a transvaginal scan 3 months later it showed I had a 10cm dermoid cyst on my right ovary which by the time I had surgery grew to 14cm and I had to have open surgery to removed it as was not able to have keyhole. I still have problems now and blood cysts so I'm still under gynaecology with regular scans.

Please don't leave it hun you know your body! Push for answers.

I have multiple ovarian cysts and the cysts on my right ovary are small but the cysts on my left ovary grow and rupture and leak blood and fluid in me. I've had them drained once. I need to be referred to a gynacologyst but I haven't been referred yet. I went to the hospita about 2 weeks ago and they just said they can't do anything for me but they'd get me to be referred to a gynacologyst. They still haven't. I'm in absolute agony😢 x

I agree with KT84! The hospital said not to come earlier in the course of your disease, but now it sounds "acute" and it is perfectly acceptable to see medical assistance when you are having sharp, stabbing pains. You may need further diagnostics to see what's going on, and if you present at emergency/urgent care you will get your scan much quicker than if you wait at home for them to book you an appointment! Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

You've every right to seek medical attention and if your experiencing such sharp pains even more so. I wouldn't leave it hun it's better to get it checked than wait for them to refer you. It could get you seen quicker by a gnaecologist.

When I had my follow up 2 months after surgery I told the gnaecologist that I felt like I had another cyst and she basically laughed at me. Funnily enough less than a month later I had a transvaginal scan and it showed up I had blood filled cyst on each ovary and they aren't passing through as they should. So please just trust your instinct and get checked. Hope you get answers and feel better soon.

I've been to A&E 4 times since April and everytime they've said they can't do anything for me. I can feel like lumps/balls at either side of my abdomen and my tummy is swelling and I cant touch it and its so tender. People think I'm stupid but I can feel my own pain as I know my own body and I know something is going on. It feels like the hospital arent bothered as I've already been 4 times😢 xxx

That is so bad!! As the lady above said go to a different hospital or keep on at your GP this isn't right that your being left like that. The cysts can twist and cause torsion so it's important any difference in symptoms or pain you seek medical advice. I would make a complaint against them I did when I was wrongly diagnosed 3 times not that they did bugger all but I get the need to do it!
