in Afib with normal BP and pulse rate

Hi All,

I have been experiencing bouts of Afib but my blood pressure and pulse appear normal 117/75  pulse 68.my Afib monitor is showing Afib.

The only thing I can put it down to is the fact that I was changed from warfarin to rivaroxaban 10 day ago I was doing ok apart from a few side effects the first few days that soon settled but for the last 4 days within an hour of taking the rivaroxaban I am going into Afib, strangely it didn't happen last night but started with avengeance this morning,I haven't had it like this since I was first diagnosed 2 years ago, in fact I haven't really had  a bad epsisode for months until now.

Bank holiday here in UK so can't speak to GP until tomorrow, any thoughts from you lovely people would be appreciated.

You don't feel it at all ? Are you on rate control drug or rhythm control ?

I wouldn't worry as long as you are on blood thinner ! Good luck!

yes I can feel the Afib its going mad very disconcerting, makes you feel so weak, I have never had it for so long , I am on Rivaoraxaban and  Bisoporol, am tempted to take  double bisoporol.

      Thank you for replying.

Have to say that I found myself decidedly worse on Bisoprololm especially when combined with Flecainide. But what suits some does not suit others.

I do sometimes have BP/HR readings similar to above when in AF. But they vary a lot. Sounds like the change in med to me, but I am not a Doctor!

Don't panic, speak to a GP tomorrow - if you are fortunate enough to get an appointment!

      thanks BampaOwl,

I agree I am pretty certain it is change of meds, pulse now racing up and down between 65 and 99.

You are quite right GP appintments like hens teeth, but I will leave a message if I can't get an App.

Thanks for the words oc comfort.

You are ok if on blood thinner - don't worry just get appt asap and get meds evaluated . Not good idea to double dose without talking to Dr . Best , Didi
