I'm in Dubrovnik and close to the oldest pharmacy in the world.... wondering if there is anything special that i should look for here? i have heard there is bwtter treatment in europe and asia than the US. I'm assuming i would need a perscription for anything unique here, but LMK!
thank you!

Hi Hannah- I wouldn't say better treatment, but maybe different. I am in the US and have access to AMAZING vulvar specialists at a major teaching hospital. I have been in remission for 10 months following their protocol of Clobetasol, Emuaid or coconut oil to moisturize, dietarychanges, lowered stress and use of autoimmune enhancing supplements.
New promising studies-
Focused Ultrasound
platelet- Rich Plasma injections
Stem cells from Adipose Fat injections
Neogyn
O-ring
Mona Lisa Touch Laser treatments- not covered by insurance!
are all available in the US IF ONE HAS THE FUNDS. I have two kids in college, I work 4 jobs ( that I LOVE!) and have 3 upcoming weddings to pay for, so , at this time, I am not shelling put $1,000's of dollars on treatments that insurance won't cover.
I hope you find great care over there. These are some notes I took based upon my research:
Tacrolimus ointment .1% adults ( Protopic brand) -suppresses immune system and eliminates inflammation by inhibiting an enzyme needed to replicate T- cells ( should be used as a last resort, side effects )
Clobetasol 0.05% super steroid cream ( lots of side effects) 8000x stronger than hydrocortisone!
Temovate 0.05% steroid cream
Estrace- Estrogen cream ( rebuilds damaged skin from lack of estrogen)
Pimecrolimus - 1%- not as effective as clobetasol
Diflorisone Diacatate- for those who can’t use clob
Sylanar- in place of clob ( used in conjunction with Estrace- depends on age??)
Elocon, Mometasone Fuorate- alternate names for other ointments being used by others in different countries.
best wishes!

hannah, I was just told that PRP injections have been used in Germany for forty years for muscle injuries. Not sure about use for LS. No idea what the state of medicine is like in Croatia. I was in what was Yugoslavia many years ago. Seemed very repressed.
