In need of help

I am a single mum to a little boy and after my husband walked out on me four years ago have been struggling to keep my head above water for the sake of my little boy. My doctor today prescribed me sertraline 50 mg and am very nervous about taking them as I am all my son has and am worried that the side effects may alter how I am feeling and make it hard for me to care for him properly, can anyone help me please!!!!

    Hang tight Julie, things will caim down soon. I went through the same thing. If you do need someone to talk to until the counslling becomes available you can call the samaritans who are very helpful.

    I suffered from all the side efects during the first two weeks, but they all gone after two and a half weeks.

    Don't worry. My experience is taking the pill in the morning after breakfast can reduce the occurance of side effects, hope it helps! Please don't drink any alchol, alchol will enlarge the side effects and cause depression after you become sober! I've tried it myself, and I won't drink alchol anymore...
