In pain

Posted , 6 users are following.

i have osteoarthritis in my knees but I am struggling to walk due to back pain hip pain and the underneath of my left foot is excrutiating particularly when I remove my shoes.

my mum has fibromyalgia and I also have restless legs in bed which she has too. I have also been treated for anxiety following a traumatic year at home and work.

i know I need to see my gp but wondered if it is easy to get a diagnosis of fibromyalgia based on my symptoms ?

if not I think it will be arthritis as the stiffness is unbearable😱

    Hi,

sorry to hear that your in a bad way.

One thing I noticed you are experiencing problems all below your chest.

Do you have any other issues in your upper body

Trauma or shock often brings Fibro on,,,unfortunately not many docs know all about Fibro..perhaps seeing as your mum has it her doc would be good if it's not your doc too..it was Symtoms that diagnosed me 20 years ago then I went to a consultant and had a points test..I too have arthritis and I know how awful it is,.,,but i do now know what pain is what now...thinking of you curliehead, hope you get diagnosed really quickly..full half glass and all that..:-) xx Australia.  Remember many hot water bottles for pain and cold packs for swelling...

    Hello Curliehead,

I know for me the excruciating tiredness and fatigue is a key element of Fibro. The pain in all 4 quadrants of the body also, and other random symptoms. Hope this helps and wish you luck.

    Take care, Anne

I also had excruciating pain on the tops of my feet also I suffered from fallen arches..that only happened once just after my diagnoses...I went to the hospital with it, all they were worried about was my blood pressure....all the pain and discomfort had put my blood pressure sky high...it went in a day or two.,,could not believe the pain...really wasn't looked at, at the hospital, they just said it's probably from the Fibro??????? Unfortunately once they know you have Fibro...everything wrong with you is Fibro....we just have to stand up for ourselves...take control, be assertive sometimes....after all the docs are there for us not visa versa...be blessed. I' and I never had it again..that was 15 years ago...

You really need to see either podiatrist chiropodist who specializes in bbiomechanics or osteopath chiropractor

this will help you arch and low back pain

you make well have pttd this causes intense pain under the foot usually one side

if the feet are blocked at ankle your walk will be wrong and this will cause knee pain

restless legs usually indicates cardio not fibromyalgia

      hope this helps

I have all the same as you and also terrable fatgue. All my worst pains are down my left side. Today my arm is really sore and can't be straightend as if i have dislocated my elbow but it was ok when i went to bed. I have also been tolt that i have osteoarthritis but x-rays have shown that there is only a small amount more wear and tear on my left hip. It is excrutiating when i walk. I have paid for back injections to see if it helps but only got about 2 weeks of relief. Someone on this forum told me to try Magneseum spray from Tesco. It was hard to get but i found it in the Neutre Section in Tesco and have found that it does help with the pain in my feet, ankles and elbows.

    Soft hugs

    Sandra
