In serious pain

I have had 3 surgeries on my left hip 2 replacements 1 revision, now I'm in horrible pain again with the same hip. my ortho dr is doing test but refuses to help with the pain management. I have been to the er too many times. I'm just at my wits end I feel like its almost not worth all this pain. I'm really depressed, and have had thoughts of ending it. what can I do to get someone to listen to me??

Denise( from another Denise) please find a PAIN management Dr. I also ho to a very good one. They will manage your pain by providing pain meds every 31 Days. please do this for your piece of mind. .I too have Sciatica and had a right hip replacement on Dec 9. so its only actually 3 and a half months. I'm not pain free but its a different pain not the excruciating pain I felt before my bad hip was replaced. its more of an ache. I'm hoping that eventually most of the pain will subside. Its frustrating and downright aggravating when you cant get relief. A pain management Dr can help with that. Honestly please look one up and make an appointment. Let us know. God Bless you

    Hi Denise,

I'm sorry that you're having such an awful time. Have you confided in anyone about how badly this is making you feel? If not, please do, it won't change the physical pain, but will help you emotionally.

Also, if your ortho doctor won't help you, see your GP - I did this yesterday as I have complications following my hip surgery and ortho dr isn't interested. My GP is referring me for further investigations, so since yesterday I feel far more positive as hopefully help in some form or another is on its way.

Denise, I'm so sorry to hear you are in pain after all you have been through. I dont know where you live, but in Canada we have resources for people feeling desperate as you are. Please reach out to someone besides your ortho doc. There will be someone out there who will listen to you. Keep us posted.... The people on here are listening and please please do not give up.
