Incapacitating head pressure and dizziness

For three months and six days I have dealt with intense head pressure and dizziness. I can't work or drive and I have trouble walking and I'm pretty much stuck in my room. I don't know what to do. It all happened after I smoked weed I got from the dispensary it wasn't the first time I smoked I've smoked for 10 years but this time it must of triggered something. I've been to the doctor three times he tells me to wait it out. But it's unbearable! What should I do? It's not anxiety I've never been anxious so what can it be?

Hi Hale, does sound like classic anxiety symptoms, the head pressure is the small blood vessels contracting to divert the blood supply to the muscles as part of the fight or flight response, this can cause dizziness and is all completely harmless.

Weed can trigger anxiety episodes and it will pass in time. Push yourself to go out walk and drive as being stuck in your room is no good for you.

Hey Neil thanks so much for your reply! So even though I feel no anxiety it's anxiety that's causing it? I don't really understand that so sorry if it's a stupid question...

unfortunetly its unsafe for me to drive because things are moving too much and I have trouble walking but I do try walking around the block when my head pressure isn't debilitating it's difficult to do it however.

      thanks again!

Hi Hale - i went through hell last year with daily pressure headaches and also another headache to the right of my head.  It was so bad I had brain scans and saw 2 nurologists and an ENT specialist.  What nobody told me (not even my GPs) was that pressure headaches (which are so severe you can't bend to plug in the vacuum cleaner, or pick up the post etc) can relate to the menopause.  After 15 months of hell, going to bed in the afternoons with headaches, I finally got it sorted when I saw a hormone specialist.  Not sure how old you are but I hope this might possibly help you. (I also had dizziness like you).

These symptoms sound similar to mine, but I sense recovery happening albeit slow (see my discussion). I'm treating my symptoms from all angles that I believe could be causing them (Neurology, muscular skeletal and nutrition) May I ask if you have any issue with focusing, ie. watching tv, using computer, reading books/newspapers?

Hey pewo I don't have any issue focusing when I read or use the computer I don't watch tv. Unless the head pressure is extremely bad I can focus just fine.

Hey Nikki. I no longer suffer from this and I'm back to normal it took 11 months for it to happen. I hope you feel better soon!
