income support claim questions

hi there i am a carer for my mother and just resntly claimed carers allowance  my question is i meet all five of the requirements it says i must meet to get income support but then there is the issue of the bit that says

Also, you qualify if you’re in full-time education (excluding university), are aged between 16 and 20 and are one of the following:

a parent

not living with a parent or someone acting as a parent

a refugee learning English

now i am over 21 and not in education but i live in my mothers house i gave up my own place to care for her will this effect my chances of getting income support as i live with my mother

    No your claim wouldn't haven't anything to do with your mother.

      my son lives with me and claims carers allowance for me and also gets income support on top , carers premium I think it's called, which comes to 90 a week for him.

      thank you got to attend the job centre at 11.30 am today to get the claim sorted im also taking town a letter that i have written regarding work focused interviews and work related activity that states all the regulations for those  and that i do not meed the criteria for them being a carer that cares for my mother more than 35 hours a week and having to give up a well paying job that i enjoyed so if they try to put me on any of them courses i might just strangle someone
