Increase dose and side effects

Hello

Im on week 3 of my increased dose (up to 75mg). and i'm still having side effects. I have dizziness and tinnitus. How long can I expect the side effects to last after an increase before the levels even out? In need of reassurance.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Jennifer, I'm day 22 of Sertraline (switching from Citalopram), I started at 25mg and felt awful so increased to 50mg and felt even worse, was so dizzy I could hardly hold my head up,nausea, panic attacks, horrible derealisation.Went back to GP yesterday about increasing my dose, she said while I'm having these side effects I need to let things settle down before any further increase, she gave me Lorazepam 1mg to use as required. The dizziness has improved but I'd say it took about a week and the other side effects continue. Have a read of others posts about Sert on here, there are some really encouraging posts,we just have to give it time-6-8 weeks! Much love,x x
